Maria Vanson, M.Ac., L.Ac.

Maria Vanson, M.Ac., L.Ac. is a Maryland State Licensed Acupuncturist.  She holds a Masters degree from the Tai Sophia Institute, the first accredited acupuncture school in the United States.  She currently continues her studies at the Tai Sophia Institute as she peruses a Master’s Certificate in Chinese Herbal Medicine.  Maria is also exploring her love of essential oils while she fulfills a certification in Aromatherapy (Aromatic Botanical Medicine).  She received her Bachelor’s Degree from The School of the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston and Tufts University, where she focused on sculpture and installation art.  Maria incorporates her passion for healing and personal growth into her varied creative works.

Maria feels deeply blessed to share the time honored tradition of Chinese Medicine with others.  Her approach to restoring balance in ourselves uses the cycles of nature as a guide and teaching model.  She believes that offering a perspective rooted in ancient wisdom is greatly needed for us to heal as individuals and as a community at large.  Using her education and clinical experience, Maria hopes to further develop the conversation about holistic health care and wellbeing.  It is with these aspirations, Maria brings her practice to Good Life Wellness.
