Nicole Gordon

I received my training to practice Health Counseling at the Institute for Integrative Nutrition in NYC, which is the only nutrition school integrating all the different dietary theories—combining the knowledge of traditional philosophies with modern concepts. It is a school rooted in the theory of bio-individuality stressing that no one way of eating and living is right for everyone. Additionally IIN teaches the importance of Primary Food, the concept that sometimes we are fed not by food but by the energy in our lives. Healthy relationships, regular physical activity, a fulfilling career and a spiritual practice can fill your soul and satisfy your hunger for living.
I received my Masters Degree in The Applied Healing Arts from The TAI SOPHIA Instutute in Laurel, MD. TAI is a graduate school for the healing arts and sciences committed to shaping the future of healthcare through personal and public service. TAI’s vision is rooted in nature and timeless wisdom and teaches the art of living and dying.
I received my Colon Hydrotherapy Certification from The St. John’s Academy of Natural Healing and Sciences in Bowie, MD. An I-ACT certified school, St. John’s is also where I’ve gained extensive knowledge in herbal remedies, healing and cleansing.
I am a Certfied Bikram Yoga Instructor and have been teaching since 2004. This ‘Hot’ yoga is a form of Hatha Yoga done in the heat (approximately 105 degrees; 30% humidity) It is a series of 26 postures performed in a span of 90 minutes. It is designed to work every muscle, organ, joint and system of your entire body inside and out. In addition to being an invigorating workout, this practice has intense healing and restorative qualities on both a mental and physical level. Having practiced this yoga for the past 7 years, I’ve been able to experience the transformation of my own health and feel honored to be able to teach and share it with others.
